The Fat Dukes of Fuck
Honey From the Lips of an Angel

With a name like The Fat Dukes of Fuck, I figured on name alone this would be awful.  But after spinning it a few times, I have to say this is album grows on you like whatever it is you picked up from that girl you banged the other night when you couldn’t see straight.

If you couldn’t guess from the name and the terrible artwork, this is porno-metal if you want to call it that, not unlike the tongue-in-cheek nature of Steel Panther.  With songs names such as “The Mighty Bulge”, to “Oral Agenda”, to “Let My People Grow” (which let’s just say is not referring to height), it’s easy to understand where these freaks get their inspiration from.  It’s a nine-track LP played with a groovy, hard rock crust tinged style that hearkens back to the days of yore.  There are even a few decent solos that creep in that show these guys aren’t just a total sideshow, but they definitely won’t find themselves on any Grammy award ballots either.  And if you listen closely to the lyrics, which are pretty decipherable, you will no doubt find yourself laughing a few times.

So if you’re in the mood for something different, give this a listen.  And if you don’t like this style, or this review, then LOOK AT MY BULGE!  LOOK AT IT YOU FUCK!  Thank you…
