Whoa! Here is a stunning little 4 song EP from Spain’s Aversio Humanitas (Aversion to Humanity) a completely new band to me, but hopefully one I will be hearing more from in the future.
The Madrid trio has one full length debut and some splits/EPs under their belt, but this should be the release that gets them on the international metal radar and on the radar of labels like Season of Mist or Dark Descent as this 4 song, 21 minute little cracker is top notch.
All 4 tracks ply a churning, murkily discordant form of ritualistic black/death metal with an aura of nausea. It culls from Dark Descent’s run of release that absolutely epitomized ‘cavernous death metal’. With the slinky black metal melodies thrown in to the maelstrom, the whole affair is a miasma of swirling, filth, but never veers on sheer Portal-y noise or pure chaos. There is also some really nice, slower, majestically imposing, crawling moments such as the title track start of “Prison of Shattered Glass”, “The Ever Shifting Path” and a little creepy ambiance here and there (the otherwise crushing “Advent of the Inescapable”).
If you liked the recent The Ominous Circle, Autokrator, Mitochondrion, or the Uk’s Abyssal or a fan of Dark Descent’s more cavernous bands (Corpssessed, Lie In Ruins etc), this is a must have and a band to really keep an eye on.

Picked up both of theirs on Bandcamp. Very strong! That Ominous Circle is sick. If you like the bestial, try Altarage, also from Spain.
