Pete Helmkamp needs no introduction. After the demise of Order From Chaos then Angelcorpse, and serving in Revenge, he released a couple of promising Angelcorpse-y EPs with Kerasphorus, but now, he has forged on alone with his solo project Abhomine. Playing all instruments and performing vocals, (a session drummer was used for this album) Abhomine is what you would expect from Helmkamp teaming up with Hells Headbangers; pure black/death nihilism.
Larvae Offal Swine is nasty. While certainly still recognizably a Helmkamp band, it’s a stripped down, filthier, dirtier visage of Angelcorpse structures and pacing. It’s a smothering, hateful, noisy, raw record with no polish or smooth edges whatsoever. And in age of clicky, surgical death/black metal, Abhomine stands out as a blood, piss ‘n’ shit covered, grimy urchin, sneering from ear to ear.
The songs all blend into one sub 30 minute bulldozer of noise. There’s nothing remotely catchy or hummable and it rarely changes paces from a runaway train trundle or rampant blast . After the intro, the album’s longest cut “Buried With Pig” opens the wound and never lets up. Through “Crown of Flies”, “Nacrocult” to “Reptile Annunciation” and “Nest of Disgust” to the outro, the album careens with bad intentions and ugly abandon. I wish I could describe it more, but dressing up something this filthy seems overdoing it. Just listen, cringe and wretch.
Worm Pig Shit = Larvae Offal Swine.

Digging the embedded track. Sounds like a continuation of Kerasphorus.
