Drop Dead Gorgous have announced the line-up for the upcoming Original Gangstour featuring BrokeNCYDE with Eyes Set To Kill along with And Then There Were None. The tour will kick off in Reno, NV on January 23rd, 2009 and will run through February.

 

“We’re extremely excited to announce our upcoming tour. These are some amazing new and fresh acts and we’re proud to share the stage with them,” says Drop Dead, Gorgeous guitarist Kyle Browning. “This tour will be our first back from recording our 13 song LP entitled ‘The Hot ‘N Heavy’ with Matt Goldman. Our album is slated for release between March and April ’09, so we hope to see each and every one of you on ‘The Original Gangstour’!”

 

Post-hardcore outfit Drop Dead, Gorgeous have put the scene in a stranglehold since the group’s inception in the mid-2000s. Using the Internet as a portal to reach fans, the group were soon discovered by Rise Records through songs posted on their MySpace and Purevolume Web pages. From there the group recorded an EP and their debut full-length, “In Vogue” and took to the road for three years of non-stop touring with everyone from Scars of Tomorrow, Folly, and Calico System. The group’s relentless work ethic paid off with the release of their 2007 concept album “Worse Than a Fairy Tale”, a fictional account of a serial killer on the loose in a small town, as Drop Dead, Gorgeous exploded into one of the genre’s premier acts. The group’s new album is produced by legendary producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Cartel) and is expected to land in stores in early 2009 through Suretone.

 

Hailing straight outta of Albuquerque, NM, BrokeNCYDE have created a highly addictive music style that blends screamo with Top 40 hip-hop that is defined as CrunkCore. Since the group’s formation they have an sesation in the online world developing an enormous fan base that craves their brand of crunk music registering 100,000+ plays a day, through the group’s MySpace page. Even before the release of their debut BrokeNCYDE fans, known as “Crunk Kids”, flooded MTV’s TRL with requests that landed them a performance on the show where they played for millions of viewers. From there the group took to the road supporting The Millionaires, Breathe Carolina and Jeffree Star, all of which instantly sold out venues across the United States.

 

Eyes Set To Kill have been trampling everything in their path since the release of their self-titled debut album. The band debuted at #29 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Charts and #77 on Billboard’s Independent Music charts and turned the buzz to deafening levels with tours supporting Otep, Human Abstract , I Am Ghost and as a main attraction on the One Moment tour alongside Before Their Eyes and LoveHateHero. The band’s dual vocalists deliver sparkling melodies and neck-breaking aggression that has stolen fans from Paramore, In This Moment and Escape The Fate.

 

Boston area natives, And Then There Were None (aka ATTWN), were once known for boasting metal riffs and killer breakdowns. After making a name for themselves within the metal world, the band took some time off from touring to write new material and came back in 2008 with a new lineup, new members, and a new sound. Introducing the world to a concept only they can claim, ATTWN mix euro-dance beats with a punk-rock backbone, fusing together an eclectic group of musical influences. Following the posting of new songs on MySpace, the guys of ATTWN quickly found themselves at the top of the MySpace charts nearly every week. With a solid fan base under their belts, ATTWN signed with powerhouse independent Tooth & Nail and will release their debut album “Who Speaks For Planet Earth?” is due to hit stores everywhere Feb. 24th, 2009.
