- Deception The Mire– Fantastic Melodic Technical Death Metal from Norway. Influences ranging from Darkane to Morbid Angel. Incredibly catchy and came out of nowhere this year.
- Cannibal Corpse Violence Unimagined – First album featuring Erik Rutan on second guitar. One of the catchiest albums from Cannibal in years.
- Sunless Ylem – One of the most beautiful death metal albums of the year. Imagine if you mixed influences like Gorguts, Mastodon, Suffocation and Opeth and mixed all together. Amazing second album from group from Minnesota
- First Fragment – Gloire Eternalle – Game changing neo-classical technical death metal. Probably most notes on an album in 2021. Phil Tougas might be one of the busiest guys in underground metal with (Serocs, Funebrarum, Cthe’Ilist ). This is the Speed metal Symphony of technical death metal.
- Skepticism – Companion One of the best Funeral Doom bands on the planet returns with their six full length album
- Darkthrone – Eternal Hails One of the most iconic black metal bands ever return. More of a classic new wave of British heavy metal punk record.
- Aeon God Ends Here – Daniel Dlimi returns to group after albums. Another amazing effort from Sweden’s masters of blasphemous death metal
- Cambion Conflagrate the Celestia Refugium- Total Angelcorpse worship Featuring Chason Westmoreland on drums (Hate Eternal, Abigail Williams)
- Dormant Ordeal the Grand Scheme of Things – Last minute add to the be of 2021 from Poland. Very original melodic black/death metal. Incredibly catchy with fantastic riffing.
- Alchemy of Flesh Ageless Abomination – a complete homage to Formulas Fatal to the Flesh and Gateways of Annihilation era Morbid Angel. Project of Tim Rowland. Uses same amp and guitar set up as Trey Azagthoth.
