Total Fucking Destruction
Peace Love and Total Fucking Destruction

When I was supposed to get this promo, the actual disc was lost in the mail. All I received was the jewel case liner, which opens up to a larger poster version of the cover art. I promptly hung it on my wall (having no idea what they sound like, but I thought it looked pretty bad ass). Erik T later tracked down streaming audio of the album so I could review it. Now after listening to it, I’m sorry he had and I ripped that piece of shit poster off my wall.

This is what it would sound like if Green Jelly and Group X recorded a grind album in 4 hours. I almost don’t want to justify this with a review, but I feel I need to warn the metal community of this lame ass excuse for grind. This is the equivilent of me taking a shit on a canvas and trying to sell it to the Met Museum of Art for 3 million. After listening to this album through twice, I found nothing memorable other than fast drumming with really, REALLY fucking annoying vocals. No riffs caught my ear. No lyrics made me smirk in sadistic delight. The production isn’t even that good. I can’t fathom anyone actually listening to this of their own free will. Seriously, it’s that bad.

The vocals are definitely the worst element. Constant yelling, yelping and howling by at least 2 members at all times. I still have a hard time believing this isn’t a joke. As for the lyrics, they mostly revolve around war, anarchy, drinking, weed, and some political bullshit. If the music wasn’t total garbage I might make an effort to try and understand some of the more esoteric lyrics, but since it is total garbage I really don’t give a shit. There is really nothing else to say other than listen at your own risk. And be prepared to lose a massive amount of brain cells.

Savage. I haven’t heard this one but their last album was pretty good. Also very good live, where they sounded even more rough-around-the-edges, though I can’t see you queuing for tickets any time soon Belgarath!

hot damn! quite a bit of vitriol directed at this album. I think its very average and not nearly as worthy as Rich Hoak’s full-time gig in Brutal Truth.

Heh, I guess I did lay it on pretty heavy. I’m usually relatively open minded and non-judgmental when it comes to my writing (hopefully people see that). But this album just just brought out such a vehement reaction of hatred for it. Still stand by every word, though. Let the fanboy flaming commence :p

    This is garbage.

Wow, you really tore this album a new one, Belch.

Me? I dig these guys. No match for Brutal Truth but still pretty cool grindcore.

Taking a wild guess here, but I bet you’re not much of an Anal Cunt fan, huh? :D
