Why is it that I looked at the picture and knew exactly what they were going to sound like before I even clicked the link and listened? I’ve always hated people who judge anything on appearance, but every time I see a bunch of kids with hair dyed black and combed forward these days, I usually take a pass on it.
Holy shit this auto-tune crap is getting out of control. the music sounded like a shitty version of a band mashing up Fear Factory and Cradle of Filth (I like both bands) but then that pop auto-tune garbage comes in and just beggars it for sheer awfulness.
Seriously, it makes Attack Attack sound like Cryptopsy.
Unfortunately this will be immensely popular with the tween set.
Looks like Century Media is trying to cash in on the whole Twilight craze. This music reminds me of what glam bands were doing in the ’80s except with different influences and shitty vocals. It annoys me but I’m not going to get too worked up over it. True metal will always prevail.
What pisses me off the most about Century Media signing bands like these is that they give THEM these decent budgets for recording and making videos but they dick around good bands like Iced Earth and Nevermore. Did the label change owners or something?
Oh, you true metal folks are so doggone sardonic and sartorially sage. Look, for all I know this band is atrocious, but when will you “true” metal folks quit calling bands gay and stupid just because they dress a certain way? I’d wager that you guys don’t get so vindictive when you see the latest black metal dudes outfitted in their gaudy threads. I like black metal attire, but how is that stuff less ridiculous than the whole “fashion core” thing? And hey, some of those black clad goth kids are fuckin stylin, motherfuckers! Ok, now I’m going to go listen to Watain while walking down the street in form fitting black leather pants, a satin jacket and a pink polka dot shirt.
Anyway. I don’t think people truly give a shit about the band or how they dress. I doubt they matter in the grand scheme of things. Just a vehicle for quick, cheap and easy laughs to lighten up the day it seems… and for tanka poems.
The only good thing to come out of the whole Twilight-craze is that Paramore song. Catchy. Ooh!
@still exist: Apollyon is right, its just a source for a few quick laughs at their expense, settle down junior! Also the clothing isn’t really as applicable here as the obvious Twilight cash-in and those auto-tuned vocals.
Mikko, image does matter ALOT when you’re trying to take a band seriously. If you can’t stop laughing at how they look then how will you ever be able to accept their music? Look at HeviSaurus for example… overall those dudes play some pretty competent if occasionally generic power metal but most people who see them in costume first will never take the time like I did to listen to the whole album and discover their not half bad. This is a huge reason why I despise music videos in general. In regards to this band, I would probably enjoy this song if I never saw the way they dressed. Their image is even more gut wrenching than the auto tuned vocals.
Ooooo my turn!!!
Hot Topic is God,
To Stupid Kids At The Mall,
Black Hair, Make Up, GAY!
Fuck Century Media,
And Vampires Everywhere!
And another…
Twilight is soooo sweet,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:05Do you have some spare make up?
Yeah dude, here you go,
Do you like my new chick pants?
Those are really tight, for real,
Why is it that I looked at the picture and knew exactly what they were going to sound like before I even clicked the link and listened? on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:29Listen, Fred Phillips,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:45Your comment is incorrect,
Not the opinion,
But the way that you wrote it,
Try with a Tanka poem.
Hahahhahahaha oh man this made my night!
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:45this makes me wish I had written my Whispered review as an epic haiku
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:47Like Fred Phillips,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 20:55Your comments are incorrect,
Gab, it’s not haiku,
Tanka has more syllables,
Standard comments are boring.
The first line is five,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 21:01Then the next one is seven,
Next is five again,
Followed by two more sevens,
That is the way of Tanka.

on Apr 21st, 2010 at 22:13FLF – tanka very much
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 22:14Fear Factory’s cool,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 23:09And so is Cradle Of Filth,
Neither auto tune,
Attack! Attack! brokenCYDE,
This trend has gone on too long.
If I start a band,
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 23:18I’ll focus on the breakdown,
Auto tune my voice,
I can make lots of money,
Integrity? What is that?
Tired of me yet?
on Apr 21st, 2010 at 23:26I see how that could happen,
For now I will quit,
I have done enough of these,
Till there is more to be said.
fuck this fuck this
on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 07:44fuck this fuck this

on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 07:44This is on Century Media?
Really?

Watched the video until the auto-tune hit, and surrendered. What a mess.

on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 13:49For crying out loud, will someone please tell this band that DEMONS DON’T SPARKLE???
on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 15:53I think back to years ago when I thought From Autumn to Ashes were really fuckin’ awful. “It can’t get any worse” I told myself. Oh how wrong I was!
on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 17:28Ah, evolution. Where will it take us next?
To our doom, I guess. Or damn close.
on Apr 22nd, 2010 at 20:34I’m too stupid to know what is going on
on Apr 23rd, 2010 at 06:44Someone clue me in
This coffee tastes like shit
wallet chains are ghey
Think I’ll crank some Brain Drill

FLF – thanks for making the comment thread funny. The music could incite a riot of people pissed off that they actually were exposed to this garbage.

Triple H plays a homo,
Though Jessica Beal is HOT!!!
